Focus on Position

To ensure that all molding machines, temperature regulators, controllers, robotics, feeding systems and all auxiliary equipment are running and maintained in excellent working condition. Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records of the dates and times of the service work on all key machinery and be responsible for overall plant maintenance and repairs wherever needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly.
  • Ability to utilize tools, equipment, and measuring/calibration/diagnostic devices.
  • Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
  • Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation.
  • Perform preventative maintenance & calibration programs & keep maintenance records.
  • Operate metalworking machines to fabricate housings, jigs or fixtures.
  • Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
  • Repair, rework, or calibrate hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies or systems to meet operational specifications or tolerances.
  • Operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment.
  • Complete documentation as per ISO Standards.
  • Programming and troubleshooting of PLC and Robotics control systems.
  • Set-up, install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Safely and accurately use tools like drill press, grinders, etc.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Education & Training

  • Associate degree/diploma/ certificate through a vocational or technical school in the following fields: Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Computer-integrated manufacturing, or Electro-mechanics.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Licensed Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in electrical or mechanical engineer
  • 433A license
  • Certifications in Electrical Power Testing or Certified Control Systems

Physical Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly changing environment with limited supervision.
  • Comfortable standing and walking for long periods time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs

    Material Handler & Forklift Operator

    Focus of Position

    This position will be responsible for the organization, preparation, and handling of raw material for the production environment. It is critical that the Material Handler strictly adheres to the data sheets to ensure the materials are prepared correctly and on time to support the production schedule. The main objective is to ensure the safe handling and use of materials to ensure consistency in production & inventory control, as well as to help solve any issues that arise and help deal with situations immediately.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate material inventory tracking by weighing raw materials.
    • Input & extract data from internal software (ERP system: Cyframe).
    • Regularly clean and perform minor routine maintenance on equipment as required.
    • Routinely verify and adjust material levels while production runs are ongoing to ensure the machines are supplied with appropriate amount of resin.
    • Receive shipments of resin ensuring deliveries are accurate and undamaged.
    • Responsible for keeping raw material organized and protected from contamination.
    • Ensure the injection molding machine, surrounding floors, dryers & warehouse areas are well kept and organized.
    • Communicate with management on all issues that involve shipments and inventory of resin.
    • Efficiently and safely stack and store all raw materials in their designated areas.
    • Communicate with purchasing to ensure quantities levels of raw materials are maintained to meet production needs.
    • Responsible for ensuring all regrind is labelled, maintained, and recorded.
    • Ensure regrind material is inspected and contaminants are isolated.
    • Ensure resin is prepared in advance for production over the next 24 hrs. and is allocated to the designated machines.
    • Insure regrind is incorporated back into production as specified.
    • Ensure resin is mixed and colored proportionally as per the job traveler.
    • Assist in shipping, receiving and warehouse duties when asked.
    • Helping in the grinding room

    Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Experience in a fast paced, manufacturing environment with machinery.
    • Material handling and warehousing.

    Education & Experience

    • Grade 12 Diploma preferred.
    • Valid Forklift License (propane forklift)

    • Pack and label product as per quality standards.
    • Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors.
